- 2-3 tablespoons of hummus. (Why not have a go at making your own hummus – it’s easier than you think! Whizz up 1 can chickpeas, 4 tablespoons olive oil, 1 garlic glove, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons tahini and 2 teaspoons paprika in a food processor. That’s it!)
- 1 orange pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1 yellow pepper
- 2-3 black olives
Place the hummus in the centre of a large round plate and spread into a circle using the back of a spoon.
Slice the black olives into two small circles for the lion’s eyes, a larger circle for the nose and two small strips for the mouth. Arrange the olive shapes onto your hummus face.
Cut strips of red, orange and yellow peppers and arrange around the outside of your hummus to resemble a lion’s mane.
